You may find that it takes longer than usual to get in touch with us. We are working hard to get to you as soon as we can and hope that the information below answers some of your questions.
We are experiencing a high volume of calls and there may be a delay in answering your call. If your enquiry is urgent, please continue to contact us by phone.
For any non-urgent enquiries that cannot be answered by reading the FAQs, please email us at [email protected]. It may take up to 35 working days to respond to email enquiries.
If you have been offered a property with WDH, please do not contact us, a member of Homesearch will contact you when the property is ready. If you are likely to become homeless in the near future, you can contact Wakefield Council on 01924 304360 for advice.
Thank you for your continued patience at this time.
Homesearch is the lettings service provided by WDH. Each week we advertise all WDH and other Registered Social Landlord properties currently available in the Wakefield area, here on the Homesearch website and at WDH Service Access Points (SAPs), providing all the information you need to help you decide if you would like to apply for one of these homes.
To apply for properties you must be registered as a Homesearch member. If you are already registered you can express an interest for homes through the internet, telephone, or in person. If you are not registered and wish to join, you can obtain a form by phoning 0344 9 02 02 02 or apply online by clicking the Apply Online button below.
If it's your first visit here, you may want to have a look at the 'How it works' page in order to familiarise yourself with the process. Otherwise please select a button below to get started.
You could move into one of our immediately available properties straight away - with no deposit to pay and a tenancy for as long as you like.
Immediately available properties are available to working single people, families and couples and are not advertised on the weekly Homesearch cycle, but you still get all the advantages of being a WDH tenant.
More information on Immediately Available Properties
WDH will now occasionally add properties to an open cycle. Properties may be added up to 4.30pm on Friday, but not after this time. A notification will be displayed on the main Search page showing any properties which have been added since the cycle opened. If you wish to be considered for one of the added properties, you will need to log in and express an interest in all the properties you want, not just your new choice.
Please Note: WDH will suspend your Homesearch membership if you refuse two reasonable offers of accommodation within a twelve month period. Please make sure you only express an interest in properties you wish to live in.
