Mutual Exchange
In addition to placing expressions of interest on our properties, another way you may be able to find a new home is by exchanging your current home with someone else.
We have now joined up with House Exchange, a national home exchange provider, to give access to their mutual exchange service. The scheme is free to qualifying Wakefield and District tenants. Simply click on the link, register your details and look for exchanges
When you find a suitable match, you can contact the people whose home you are interested in and decide whether an exchange would be suitable for you both.
You can swap (exchange) homes with other WDH tenants or tenants from other Councils or Housing Associations providing you both have written permission from your landlords. as there are certain conditions you must meet for an exchange to go ahead, for example a clear rent account.
