How Homesearch works

Each week we advertise all WDH and other Registered Social Landlord properties that are currently available in the Wakefield area, here on the Homesearch website, providing all the information you need to help you decide if you would like to apply for one of these homes.

Each weekly advertising cycle runs from 10.05am on a Wednesday morning until 09.55am on the following Wednesday morning. If you see a property you are interested in and match the eligibility criteria you can apply for it. You can apply for up to three properties per week, but you must place your expression of interest in your property or properties of choice during the weekly cycle it is being advertised, as expressions of interest cannot be accepted once a cycle has closed and the property is no longer being advertised.

We may occasionally withdraw adverts. When we do, a message will be displayed on the results page, and if during an advertising cycle, it will be displayed on the search page. Your expression of interest for these properties will not be considered.

If you have applied for a WDH property and are successful, we will contact you and arrange for you to view the property. If you have applied for a property from another Registered Social Housing Organisation, we will pass your details on to them and they will contact you if you are successful.

If you are not a Homesearch Member, you need to fill in an application form to join. If you are not registered and wish to join, you can request a form by phoning 0344 9 02 02 02 or complete an online application by clicking Apply Online on the Home page.
